Maxx Digital's CTO, Bob Zelin, used the AJA System Test with a 2K file 2048x1556 resolution (2K video file emulation) to run his tests. Zelin said, "I'm blown away with the test results. Some of the cards we have tested install easily, but they don't reach above 390 MB/sec write speed, while others require extensive configuration and tweaking to get working. Solarflare's adapters ran out of the box and achieved speeds approaching 500MB/sec without tuning. Congratulations on making a wonderful 10Gig Ethernet card for Mac OS X."
"We're obviously very pleased to hear of the test results achieved by Maxx Digital," said Russell Stern, CEO of Solarflare. "This further demonstrates the power of our unique application-intelligent network architecture. Much like NYSE:Euronext and NASDAQ, who have adopted our technology for the highest-demanding network environments in electronic trading, we now see the digital media industry realizing the benefits of Solarflare's solutions. We expect Maxx Digital's customers to experience tremendous productivity gains with their solutions powered by Solarflare."
