Russian high-tech engineering company CompMechLab® Ltd. and Swiss company KISSsoft AG signed software distribution agreement

February 7, 2012 - Russian high-tech engineering company Computational Mechanics Laboratory, Ltd. ( CompMechLab® Ltd.) - a spin-off company established on the base of Mechanics and Control Processes Department of St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University (SPbSTU), providing multi-services in computer engineering for industrial companies and enterprises from automotive, aerospace, oil&gas, nuclear power and metallurgic branches of industries, and Swiss company KISSsoft AG – software developer for automate computation and analysis of mechanical drives and gears (tooth gears, worm gears, etc.), shafts, bearing, etc. – KISSsoft and KISSsys – signed an Agreement for distribution of KISSsoft AG products in Russia, CIS countries and Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).

KISSsoft/KISSsys are programs developed for comprehensive works in design, optimization and computation of machine parts, such as shafts, tooth gears and gear wheels/pinions, reducers, synchronizers, springs, joint elements and gearboxes. KISSsoft system modules allow to set various dependance and links between gearbox elements, set optimization criteria and a lot more.

''Innovative technologies of KISSsoft/KISSsys software, which allow to design, model and compute actually all machine parts and, moreover, to optimize them, are undoubtedly essential for Russian industry,'' - said Professor Alexey I. Borovkov, the Founder of CompMechLab®. – ''Collaboration with the world leading company in the field of mechanical gears design, computation and optimization – KISSsoft AG, as well as adaptation to the technologies, developed by this company, is certainly important, as well as new for CompMechLab® Ltd. – the company which specializes in world-class CAD/FEA/CDF/CAE technologies application, which are used by leading industrial enterprises for time-saving development and computer engineering of new competitive and needed structures.''

''These are our first steps in Russian market, but we can see the huge potential and positive development trends of Russian industry. For more convenient work with KISSsoft/KISSsys we have already started the software translation into Russian and adaptation to Russian standards. We are glad that we have signed the Agreement with CompMechLab® Ltd. We expect this company to be our reliable and highly professional partner in p KISSsoft and KISSsys software promotion, application, customers training and support in Russian, CIS and Baltic States markets,'' – added KISSsoft AG General Director, Dr. Stefan Beermann.

In accordance to the Agreement signed, the engineering company CompMechLab® Ltd. (St. Petersburg) becomes an official KISSsoft and KISSsys software distributor in Russia, CIS (except for Belarus) and Baltic States.

Besides KISSsoft/KISSsys software, CompMechLab® Ltd. distributes such software as: Moldex3D (intended for plastic injection molding modeling, www.Moldex3D.ru), Simpleware (developed for transformation of digital images into finite element models, www.Simpleware.ru), DIGIMAT (for multi-scale non-linear analysis of composites and composite structures, www.DIGIMAT.CompMechLab.ru), NEi Nastran (for finite element analysis of constructions and composite structures, www.NENastran.ru) and ESAComp (developed for finite element modeling thin multi-layer stiffened constructions like plates and laminates, www.ESAComp.CompMechLab.ru).

CompMechLab® Ltd. ( www.compmechlab.com) provides services in the field of high-tech computer engineering, such as consultations, technical support, fulfillment of scientific and research works, training customers in the following CAD/CAE software:  : SolidWorks, Solid Edge, NX CAD, CATIA, Creo, ANSYS, DIGIMAT, ESAComp, LS-DYNA, Moldex3D, MSC Software, NEi Software, NX CAE, ProCAST, SIMULIA/Abaqus, SYSWELD and other.
