The Autodesk Clean Tech Partner Program is open to all of Singapore’s innovative clean tech companies, including those specializing in solar energy, fuel cells, biomass, wind energy, tidal energy, energy efficiency and carbon-reduction services. Greenlots is the first Singapore-based company to have joined the Autodesk Clean Tech Partner Program. Greenlots designs and delivers charging networks for electric vehicles. To date, Greenlots has installed solutions in 12 countries. The company partners with utilities, municipalities, electric vehicle manufacturers and distributors and other private businesses to help them install, own and operate their own EV charging network.

Oliver Risse, managing director of Greenlots, said, “Joining Autodesk’s Clean Tech Partner Program gives us access to professional design software that will help us compete globally. We plan to use Autodesk Inventor software for stress testing our electric vehicle chargers. The chargers are used frequently throughout the day, and now we’ll be able to digitally simulate design improvements. As well, the Eco Materials Adviser in Inventor is going to help us select the most environmentally-friendly materials.” Greenlots also intends to use Autodesk 3ds Max Design software to create high-quality 3D visualizations for its marketing and sales efforts.

Said Yeoh Keat Chuan, assistant managing director of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), “Autodesk’s Clean Tech Partner Program complements Singapore’s efforts to become a ‘Living Laboratory,’ where companies can test, develop and commercialize clean tech solutions, before scaling them up for global markets. We are pleased that information technology companies such as Autodesk are leveraging the growing clean tech sector here to explore co-innovation opportunities and accelerate the commercialization of clean tech solutions from Singapore.” According to the EDB, Singapore aims to grow the clean tech industry to contribute 3.4 billion SGD of added value to its GDP and provide 18,000 jobs by 2015.

“Singapore is rapidly gaining momentum as a hub of clean tech innovation,” said Lynelle Cameron, director of sustainability at Autodesk. “We’re pleased to offer advanced design technology to help these clean tech entrepreneurs and pioneers bring their ideas to market faster and more cost-effectively.”
