LIVERMORE, Calif. – October 25, 2011 – Brad Burgess has joined Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) as national sales manager for scanning products in the Topcon Emerging Business Unit (TEBU).

Charles Rihner, TEBU vice president, said, “We are excited to have Brad on board. His high level of product expertise, industry knowledge and leadership skills are invaluable to our division. Brad will be a tremendous asset to both our distributors and end users in helping find growth opportunities and in successfully implementing scanning technology.”

Burgess began his career as a surveyor in the U.S. Army. From there, he gained many years of product and business experience in the private sector working in the survey divisions of various positioning manufacturers.

Burgess said of his new position, “Topcon has excellent scanning technologies that can help businesses and organizations strengthen and expand their services. I look forward to promoting Topcon in the market and to building strong relationships with customers and dealers.”
