ANSYS Earns Ranking on International Top-Performer Lists

Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 and Software Top 100 Recognize ANSYS for Growth

PITTSBURGH – October 22, 2010 – The continued year-over-year growth of ANSYS (NASDAQ: ANSS) has been noted by two independent organizations, which have included ANSYS in their top-performer rankings: Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™ and the Software Top 100™.

ANSYS made the Technology Fast 500 for the second consecutive year, moving up nearly 70 positions. Deloitte’s list is an annual ranking of the fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. ANSYS placed at position 377 with a 227 percent growth rate over the past five years.

This is the fourth consecutive year that ANSYS has been named to the global Software Top 100™, which is a leading and independent online overview of the world’s largest software companies. The list is used primarily by the software industry for market and competitive analysis. For the 2010 list, ANSYS ranked 96th based on last year’s annual software revenue.

“Although it is excellent to be recognized in this way, the real story is the progress ANSYS has made in creating world-class engineering solutions to help our customers develop their world-class products. The past has been encouraging, and our future continues to expand,” said Jim Cashman, president and CEO of ANSYS.
