PubWorks announces the release of MapViewer II; Fully Integrated and User-Friendly GIS for Public Works

GIS doesn’t get any easier. Public Works professionals can use existing GIS data, or have ESRI StreetMap data provided by PubWorks.

September 11, 2009 -- Snowmass Village, Colorado – Tracker Software Corporation has completed development on its latest add-on module – MapViewer II. Used in conjunction with the Asset Management Core, MapViewer brings the ability to map all appropriate PubWorks data with one click. Already in use in Boulder County, Colorado, Miami Township, Ohio and Schaumburg, IL, public works professionals are mapping service requests, work orders, sign management for retro-reflectivity compliance and the activity and cost associated with each. “And for smaller cities and counties, perhaps without GIS, we can provide public domain GIS data – GIS doesn’t get any easier than this,” Tracker President, Pete Anzalone.

MapViewer is one product in a full service Asset and Resource Management suite of products, including Service Requests, Fleet Maintenance and Work Orders, and the also newly developed Asset Data Collector, which is a lap top based program with Drive the Road interface for the collection of current asset location, condition and status. The Colorado – based Tracker Software has been serving public works in the United States and Canada since 1997.
