SAN DIEGO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—November 25, 2008— Alioscopy® USA, a leading developer of a wide range of 3D technology products and services, today announced it will demonstrate its state-of-the-art, 3DHD auto-stereoscopic (no glasses required) 3D LCD display and content creation technology at the 94th Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in Chicago at the McCormick Place Convention Center, November 30-December 5, 2008. RSNA 2008 one of the largest medical conferences worldwide and is devoted to the latest advances in radiology products, services and education; attracting over 27,000 healthcare professionals from more than 100 countries.

“Alioscopy USA is attending RSNA in Chicago to show how its powerful autostereoscopic (no 3D glasses required) display technology and content creation solutions and services can deliver one of the most immersive and visually compelling ways for the medical diagnostic and radiology community to create and visualize anything from a cellular model to a fully animated 3D surgery or chemotherapy procedure,” said Philippe Roche, CEO of Alioscopy, USA. “The ultimate benefit is an easy way to create state-of-the art 3D visualizations that aids educational, diagnostic and patient understanding.”

Alioscopy at the RSNA

In development over the past fourteen years, Alioscopy’s groundbreaking 3D display product, the 3DHD, developed and manufactured by Alioscopy, features a highly specialized lenticular lens that boasts unmatched quality, clarity and image depth, resulting in a truly immersive and memorable experience for the viewer. Displays are available in a 24-inch (portable) and 40-inch LCD monitor model and can offer content in two, four or eight-views.

Alioscopy’s underlying open architecture provides an end-to-end solution that allows standard video to be shown and 3D content to be developed and rendered with leading off-the-shelf 3D software applications such as Autodesk® 3ds® Max, Autodesk® Maya®, Softimage|XSI®, MAXON CINEMA 4D and NewTek Lightwave 3D®. Real-time capabilities enhance the experience even further by allowing the viewer to interact with 3D content as if moving through a video game. Alioscopy offers scripts and plug-ins along with a proprietary mixing software that works with proprietary visualization and 3D software. The Alioscopy plug-in takes any image or animation, and generates eight multiple rendered views for output to the Alioscopy monitors. The company also offers customized support and consulting services geared to get any customer up and running—fast.

Alioscopy’s breathtaking 3D technology demonstration is often said to be an experience that must be seen and felt to be believed. RSNA conference attendees and press who wish to “just feel it™” for themselves, are encouraged to come by Booth #141 and experience the unmatched quality and clarity of the 3DHD displays.
