The availability of these new formats offers DMTI and ESRI customers the ability to easily promote the use of geographic data throughout the enterprise. Geodatabases, such as ArcSDE files, allow users to perform advanced modeling, analysis and cartographic functionality in ArcGIS.
These file formats were added to the DMTI arsenal to allow customers to work with larger datasets more easily and reduce the number of delivered files. Offering the data in the native ArcGIS formats helps to decrease time for importing activities and better maintains data integrity. Based on demand, certain products are now being offered in the new ArcGIS file geodatabase format (9.2) and ArcSDE export file (9.1). DMTI currently provides these formats to enterprise Oil and Gas and government clients.
