Arcam EBM to expand into new facility

Arcam AB, supplier of Additive Manufacturing ("AM") solutions and part of GE Additive, has signed a lease agreement with Castellum for its EBM business to move into a refurbished 11,800 sqm. facility in Härryda, outside Göteborg.

DEC 20, 2017 - As part of Arcam's growth strategy, the company has signed a lease with Castellum for new facilities in Härryda, just outside Göteborg. This new and modern facility, almost three times the size of the current site, will offer Arcam EBM the ability to continue to expand and set the stage for the accelerated growth of the Additive Manufacturing industry. The space will significantly increase machine production capacity and allow for a more collaborative set-up within the company; uniting logistics, research and development, services and operations. The facility will be ready for move in the first quarter for 2019.

The expansion for Arcam EBM follows on that Arcam in September 2017 inaugurated a new powder manufacturing plant at AP&C in Canada.

"We recently raised almost 1 Billion SEK in a new issue with the plan to invest in our growth; securing this new facility is testament of our commitment to the future of Arcam and the Additive Manufacturing industry. The new larger facility will accommodate the strong growth of Arcam and allow for further expansion as the market demands", says Magnus René, President and CEO.
