ASTM International Publishes First Papers in New Journal: Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing Systems

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., March 7, 2017 — (PRNewswire) — ASTM International has published the first papers in its new online journal: Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing SystemsAccess to papers during the journal's inaugural year is free (here).

"From dozens of submissions, we are pleased to announce the first four published, authored by 20 leading minds in this fast-growing field," said Dr. Sudarsan Rachuri, the journal's editor-in-chief who is the federal program manager for the Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Innovation Institute at the U.S. Department of Energy.

As these titles suggest, the journal fosters transdisciplinary research and industrial technologies that cross the boundaries of information science, systems engineering and engineering design, manufacturing, product life-cycle, and emerging data science.
