Ohio Film Group Launches State of the Art Digital Post-Production House

COLUMBUS, OH -- (Marketwired) -- Oct 05, 2015 -- After months of preparation and construction, the Ohio Film Group (OFG) announced the launch of its state-of-the-art digital post-production facility on the campus of the Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD).

OFG, a start-up media services company with a focus on post-production support for feature films, television series and commercials, has completed renovations at 380 E. Broad St. to create a 7,000-square-foot post-production, VFX and animation studio, with an industry-leading 4K workflow designed and installed by the Los Angeles-based Cutting Edge Audio & Video and Open Drives.

"We're very happy to take this important first step at OFG with such a quality institution as CCAD and are confident it will help facilitate our vision to create an important enterprise in Columbus, valuable educational experiences at CCAD, and terrific work opportunities for students and graduates from this institution and The Ohio State University," said Gil Cloyd, co-founder & chief executive officer of OFG.

OFG hopes to build Columbus' reputation as a premier location for digital post production and has already secured its first deal with award-winning film producer Tyler Davidson (Take Shelter) on the romantic comedy, My Blind Brother, starring Adam Scott, Jenny Slate and Nick Kroll.

Len Hartman, co-founder, president & COO of OFG, brings a wealth of industry experience as a successful screenwriter and producer. "We've made a substantial investment in state-of-the art technology and experienced talent to ensure that we can provide best in class services at a better value to our clients," stated Hartman. "Further, these services, on larger productions, can qualify for the State's aggressive film tax credit, which, in turn, helps to create permanent local employment."

As part of the company's commitment to future proof technology and long distance connectivity, OFG has partnered with Sohonet, an ultrahigh bandwidth, high security fiber network that allows OFG to quickly deliver large media files to hundreds of locations around the world. As the only Metro Area Network in the Midwest for Sohonet, OFG will specialize in solutions that are flexible, dynamic and tailored specifically to the needs of its clients.
