The Daily Mac View Enhances Its Website to Improve the User Experience

TORONTO, Nov. 25, 2014 — (PRNewswire) — Last week, the popular Apple- and productivity-focused website launched a series of enhancements aimed at improving the user's experience.

These include a switch to WPEngine, a faster hosting service with an excellent reputation, and a revamp of the user-interface (UI) that made the website easier to navigate and accelerated page load time.

"We wanted to bring lot of enhancements around the UI experience and navigability," said Kerry Dawson, editor at The Daily Mac View and its affiliated site The Mac View.

"Our [designer] did an excellent job with this so I am quite happy with the way it turned out," added Dawson.

As a result of the enhancements, the Daily Mac View is more closely integrated with The Mac View, where visitors can now buy different categories of software. Dawson called this a major addition—one that will allow users to read and buy at the same time if they choose to.

And according to the blog post in which the changes were first announced, these products have been hand-picked, grouped for their capabilities, and priced to sell, thanks to partnerships with StackSocial and Avantgate, services designed to offer excellent products at a good price.

The Mac View and The Daily Mac View have been releasing a steady stream of useful information since their inception in the spring of 2013.

The former website in particular acts as a source of trends, top news, and editor's picks, while the latter delivers in-depth articles. The Daily Mac View is also an important source on information on the Getting Things Done (GTD) productivity method, as well as some of its iOS- and Mac-Compatible products.

Both websites are the brainchild of Dawson, who has over thirty years' experience in Information Technology and has been working with Macs since 1984. His expertise, however, isn't limited to Apple and GTD. A keen trend observer, Dawson often writes, for example, about the direction in which Microsoft's new CEO, Satya Nadella, is steering the company, as well as that of BlackBerry's John Chen.
