NFRC Offers AIA Credit for Free Webinar on Commercial Fenestration Code Compliance on July 30

Jul 22, 2014 -- On Wednesday, July 30, the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) will host a free webinar on meeting commercial fenestration code compliance. The hour-long webinar will begin at 2:00 p.m. (ET).

Attendees can earn one AIA continuing education credit.

According to Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), the energy lost through windows represents 4% to 5% of total annual U.S. energy consumption at a cost of $50 billion. NFRC programs and tools can help reduce energy loss from buildings by allowing architects and designers to incorporate independently rated fenestration products into building design. Additionally, these programs and tools result in the NFRC Label Certificate, which allow code officials to use certified performance numbers when determining code compliance. Whole building compliance can be improved when true numbers are being used rather than punitive default numbers.
