VESTRA's Geosystems Monitor New Release Version 1.1

July 22, 2011 - As GIS has moved from the desktop to an enterprise platform, GIS/IT professionals have been facing an ever more complicated computing environment. Often, in these new environments, running not only on Esri®’s GIS sever technologies, but a wide array of other services and server base vendor applications. The GeoSystems Monitor™ has been developed to meet the applications monitoring challenges presented in these complex IT environments by providing a simple, easily-customizable software environment that GIS/IT professionals can quickly configure to monitor this broadening array of applications.

VESTRA's GeoSystems Monitor™ provides real-time information on the status of your Enterprise GIS. The GeoSystems Monitor™ generates this information by monitoring the applications (points) that reside on your servers. Allowing the GIS/IT professional the ability to troubleshoot issues and/or non-responsive applications as they occur. When the GeoSystems Monitor™ detects an issue, an immediate notification is sent to the GIS/IT professional via email or text, allowing them to formulate a proactive resolution. This allows for both increased productivity and improved system uptime.

The GeoSystems Monitor™ features a rich user interface, developed in Microsoft Silverlight™, that provides a dashboard view of the servers and applications that the GIS/IT professional is responsible for, and allows the professional to configure the GeoSystems Monitor™ by updating a SQLite database. This allows the GIS/IT professional to customize the user interface, and to monitor all aspects of the Enterprise GIS architecture. The architecture of the GeoSystems Monitor™ has been specifically designed to make it easy to deploy and easy to customize.

VESTRA has released Version 1.1 of the GeoSystems Monitor™. This new release includes the following features and enhancements:
