Esri Named as Microsoft Technology Center Alliance Partner

GIS Solutions Will Help Microsoft Customers Solve Complex Business Problems

Redlands, CaliforniaJune 27, 2011—Microsoft has selected Esri to participate in the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) Alliance Partner program. Esri’s flagship ArcGIS software will be demonstrated in MTC Envisioning Centers worldwide as part of the Strategy Briefing offering. These leading-edge geographic information system (GIS) tools will also be available to Microsoft prospects and customers to use during Proof of Concepts workshops.

“For more than 20 years, we have worked closely with Microsoft to develop solutions that are used around the world and across all industries,” explained Jack Dangermond, president of Esri. “Mapping and geographic analysis are recognized for the powerful analytic advantages they provide and for their ability to clearly communicate complex relationships and patterns. Esri is very pleased to contribute to the excellent work that is done in MTCs around the world.”

MTCs are collaborative environments that provide access to innovative technologies and world-class expertise, enabling enterprise customers to envision, design, and deploy solutions to meet their exact needs. When specific expertise outside the Microsoft technology stack is required, partners are included in the collaborative process.

“We are pleased that Esri has joined the special group of partners that help the MTCs worldwide demonstrate the value of the Microsoft platform,” said Chuck McCann, Worldwide MTC Alliances director. “Esri is a leading Microsoft partner and continues to pioneer new and innovative ways to solve business problems. Its contributions will help customers drive a new level of innovation.”
