Vanessa Lawrence, Chief Executive and Director General of the Ordnance Survey is joining DGI 2011 in London

Hundreds of senior GIS capability officers, C4ISR specialists, national security professionals and IT architects are gathering at Defence Geospatial Intelligence (DGI) 2011 in London on January 24-27th, 2011. The goal of the meeting is to discuss the key challenges and the opportunities geospatial capabilities brings to defence, intelligence and national security organisations.

According to our research, most of the 100+ and over defence and national security organisations the world over are currently expanding their geospatial strategies, to use geo intelligence on both strategic and tactical levels. Starting with command and control, and all the way down to the individual soldier in-theatre, every part of every defence organisation needs geospatial intelligence and capability.

Defence Geospatial Intelligence (DGI) 2011 has gathered over 65 hours of in-depth case study presentations, debates and success stories from around the world to show you how GIS is being used, what the key challenges are and what the future holds.
