Right Hemisphere Appoints John Valentine to Vice President of Engineering

San Ramon, CA — June 29, 2010 — Right Hemisphere®, the standard for Visual Enterprise solutions, today announced the appointment of John Valentine to vice president of engineering. Valentine will be based in New Zealand, where Right Hemisphere’s research and development staff are located, and report to the company’s President, Founder and CTO Mark Thomas. As Vice President of Engineering, Valentine is responsible for all engineering, development, planning, scheduling and quality assurance processes. He will also work with senior management and Right Hemisphere’s customers to define the company’s product direction.

“John has worked on many complex IT projects and consistently delivered on time, as promised,” said Thomas. “The positive relationships he has established with his customers speak volumes to us about the level of trust and respect he’s earned in this business over the last two decades. We are very pleased to place our development team in his hands. I am confident that he will set an appropriately aggressive, yet realistic product development schedule that our customers can depend on.”

Valentine comes to Right Hemisphere from RHE & Associates, a software development and integration services company in New Zealand. Originally employed with RHE over 13 years ago as a developer, Valentine quickly became central to RHE’s engagement and delivery activities. While at RHE, he performed in a variety of roles, including software delivery manager, insurance practice manager and solution architect. He ran 15 successful delivery projects for RHE for clients such as Air New Zealand, Qantas, IBM, and New Zealand Customs.

Before joining RHE, Valentine was a co-founder and technical director at Computer Aided Design Systems, Ltd (CADS), a New Zealand based reseller of both off-the-shelf and custom CAD software. Earlier in his career, Valentine was a field engineer for Schlumberger Inc. specializing in data acquisition and data analysis services for the oil industry. Valentine holds a bachelor’s degree in Math and Physics from the University of Auckland.
