EVE’s ZeBu-Personal Chosen as 2009 DesignVision Award Finalist

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—January 14, 2009— EVE, the leader in hardware/software co-verification, today announced ZeBu-Personal has been selected as one of three finalists in the Design Verification Tools category of this year’s DesignVision Awards.

DesignVision Awards, sponsored by the International Engineering Consortium (IEC), recognize technologies, applications, products and services judged to be the most unique and beneficial to the industry. ZeBu-Personal, unveiled in March 2008, is a fast emulator in a compact package used for system-on-chip (SoC) hardware verification and software development. It can be used on the toughest hardware/software co-verification problems, handling designs of five-million application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) gates at close to 60 megahertz.

With high capacity, easy setup and debugging associated with emulation, and price/performance of rapid prototyping, ZeBu-Personal is ideal for block-level verification or system-integration where multiple logic blocks and embedded software must be verified together. Hardware design and software development teams can share the same system and design representation, and collaborate when debugging complex hardware/software interactions. The result is hardware/software integration earlier in the design cycle, reducing silicon respins and accelerating time to market.

ZeBu-Personal is based on Xilinx Virtex5-LX330 field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), features a PCI Express card system and offers fully automated front-end compilation and run-time software. It has interactive hardware debugging capabilities for thorough debugging, and is competitively priced to meet budget constraints.

DesignVision Award winners will be announced February 3 during DesignCon 2009, to be held February 2-5 at Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.
