Hexagon’s Geospatial Division Adds M.App Enterprise and M.App X to Education Program

13 June 2019 --  Hexagon’s Geospatial Division will make its M.App Enterprise and M.App X solutions available through its  global Education Program beginning 11 June 2019.  This addition will offer students a chance to experience enhanced geospatial app building and deployment, giving them a technical edge in a competitive job market.

“As the geospatial industry progresses into enterprise cloud-based applications, we need to equip universities with the proper tools to prepare students for the future,” said Mike Lane, Global Education Manager for Hexagon’s Geospatial division. “M.App Enterprise and M.App X allow universities to take advantage of Hexagon’s enterprise technology to teach students how to use geospatial data to solve real-world problems.”

M.App Enterprise is an on-premises platform for hosting and deploying Hexagon Smart M.Apps – smart applications that combine content, business workflows, and geoprocessing into an interactive and dynamic analytics view.

M.App X is a cloud-based geospatial exploitation solution for creating imagery-derived information products and reports, deployed in an enterprise platform.

“By creating custom apps in M.App Enterprise, students can learn how to integrate various location-based datatypes and harness the power of analytics in real time,” Lane said. “By using M.App X, students seeking careers in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and related sectors will learn complex situational awareness skills and gain knowledge required to author, manage, and deliver data to enable integration, analysis, and fusion of geospatial information. We are excited to offer these platforms to the Education community.”

The Education Program will provide educators and students with a growing number of training samples, examples, videos, and more to use while learning and working with M.App Enterprise and M.App X.
