MACOM Extends Wired Broadband Leadership with new Family of Surface Mount Diplexers

75Ω Matched devices provide customers with excellent temperature stability and repeatability

LOWELL, Mass. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 31, 2014 — M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (“MACOM”), a leading supplier of high performance RF, microwave, and millimeter wave products, today announced a new family of new surface mount diplexers for Cable Customer Premises Equipment.

This platform of surface mount Diplex Filters has been developed to replace large CAN and Discrete solutions in real estate constrained customer premises equipment front-ends. Offering superior performance and ease of implementation, these devices boast excellent temperature stability and part-to-part repeatability. In addition, the surface mount design allows for convenient high volume SMT manufacturing. Boasting excellent Return Loss, Insertion loss and Rejection, these devices are RoHS compliant as well.

“The MAFL-011013, MAFL-011024 and MAFL-011025 are ideal solutions for customers requiring high performance, repeatable, surface-mount diplex filters in a common footprint and pin-out,” said Graham Board, Product Manager. “This family of filters are DOCSIS 3.0 compliant and cover the following cable splits 42/54, 65/108, 85/108MHz with a plan to add a DOCSIS 3.1 204/258MHz split by mid-2014. Having a platform of filters which covers the key cable splits, dramatically simplifies and expedites front-end implementation for customers.”

The table below outlines typical performance:
